About us

We are nestled in the heart of Eryri, surrounded by the sea, the Rhinogydd mountains and a magical castle. We are restoring ancient woodland and wood pasture that was felled, replanted with conifers then clearfelled again and left for bracken to take over.

Through low impact, sympathetic interventions we are slowly seeing indicator species of the ancient woodland returning. Everything we do is centred around increasing biodiversity, protecting wildlife, flora and fauna.

With help from the Welsh Government we have started a small nursery, collecting and propagating local provenance wildflower seeds to distribute to communities in Gwynedd to help restore our native wildflower meadows, including verges, pathways and amenity grasslands.

Within the historic woodland pasture we are creating a small forest kitchen garden which will benefit pollinator species and offer therapeutic opportunities to those in need on a one to one and small group basis. Emphasis is on soil health and sustainability, using permaculture principles in a holistic approach to land stewardship. Surplus produce will be given to South Gwynedd Foodbank.
